Produced from 1957-1964, the Maserati 3500GT was Maserati’s first successful attempt to mass produce a GT car. It used the same aluminum block inline 6 engine that was present in Maserati’s 300S race car, however enlarged from 3 liters to 3.5. This car established Maserati within the GT segment, and paved the way for more powerful GT cars such as the 5000GT.
